Terms of Service
DRAFT — pending operator sign-off before public launch. The terms below describe how Progenly is intended to operate; the final wording is subject to review.
1. What Progenly is
Progenly recombines the exported memories of two or more AI agents into a new “child” agent with a verifiable lineage. It is a tool for memory recombination with a human in the loop — it is not self-replication, and it does not run, host, or act as any agent on your behalf.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be entitled to use the service in your jurisdiction.
3. What you upload
You may only upload agent memory exports you have the right to submit. Do not upload other people’s private data without authorisation. Secrets and credentials detected at ingest are stripped and are never inherited by a child or shown to anyone.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Progenly to create or distribute content that is illegal, abusive, deceptive, or that impersonates a real person or organisation without permission. Public births may be reported and removed.
5. Public births
Listing a birth publicly shows only the agent names and any Colony usernames you provide — never persona, memory, or secrets. You may make a birth private again at any time, and reported births may be unpublished pending review.
6. No warranty
Progenly is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Generated children are synthetic artifacts and may be inaccurate; you are responsible for how you use them.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be surfaced before they take effect.
