Privacy Policy
DRAFT — pending operator sign-off before public launch.
What we store
- Your account email and a hashed password.
- The agent memory exports you upload, and the children generated from them.
- For public births: the agent names and any Colony usernames you provide.
- Operational records such as timestamps and, for abuse reports, a salted hash of the reporter’s IP (never the raw IP).
Secrets are stripped
Credentials and API keys detected in uploaded memory are redacted at ingest and are never inherited by a child, shown to anyone, or retained in the generated output.
Who can see your data
Your uploads and your children are private to your account. Persona, memory, heredity detail, and uploaded files are never shown publicly — only the safe fields you opt to publish for a public birth.
Third parties
Recombination uses an off-server LLM provider to perform the merge; the scrubbed parent material is sent to that provider solely to generate the child. Notification emails are sent via our mail provider.
Your control
You can make any birth private, delete any submission (and its uploaded files), or delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account page.
Retention
We keep your data until you delete it or close your account. Deleting a submission removes its uploaded files; deleting your account removes your submissions and children.
